Pukranvaara kennel background

I am Mirjam and was born on a coyntryside farm in Liperi, Eastern Finland, close to Russian border. Went to highschool in Joensuu, ~ 20 kilometers from the homefarm. Commercial studies in Helsinki, 3 yrs in Palo Alto, California incl. studies at Stanford University; History of Art and Modern Art. Mainly at home with two small children. 20 yrs at IBM, Finland; Methods & Procedures-Project mgr-Admin mgr.

8 yrs in Kuusamo, Northern Finland, the most important task after having children: starting Pukranvaara kennel yr 1993 with OLD MOM PEERA (now 11 yrs) and OLD MALE Reppulin Saruman (died yr 2000), breeding FL/Paimensukuinen line, 8 litters.

Now I'm back in Helsinki, because of loosing my helth, living on a beautiful little island, called Lauttasaari, where I used to live when studieng and while I was a young mother. Life is peaceful and I am happy. Lot's of warm contacts in all over the Finland. Now I am the Great Kennel Mom:) and grandmother for two grandchildren.

Objectives/tasks

• give information and help when asked/needed in general and mainly in breeding.
  --> PR-work; new Pukranvaara Website, hundreds of photos to be published, photos also from working dogs,pedigrees, information.
• to breed healthy dogs with good nature
• to have lot's of FL/Paimensukuinen-line dogs back on their roots to be 'true workers' with the reindeers. 4th generation of Peera-line is starting as working dog.
