Planning the snow construction

Before planning the snow construction, it's usefully to look snow's qualities. This will help among other things construction planning. If needed structure designer should be used.

When choosing the building site, must take into account the locations of heating pipes and roads. If the snow construction is built too close to traffic routes, it's very likely that the building will get dirty or somebody will destroy it. Eero Väänänen has made empirical research about this subject and it clearly shows that snow constructions are in the greatest danger when they are build near small paths. Paths are main routes for the youngsters and Väänänen's research shows that they destroy everything from 9,5 meters distance. According to present norms snow constructions should be build at least 3 meters from driveways and 10 meters from paths.
