Needs YOUR Help!

[Helsinki,Finland]

A little story first...
One day me and a bunch of friends decided to go for picnic. It was just before the May Day, and we decided that it would be a nice time to go somewhere to a nice quiet place and have some food&fun type of activities.

The day before we were supposed to go, I got a phone call from my girlfriend. Two of our friends had had a terrible car accident. While driving on the highway, their car slid to the other side into the oncoming traffic, and the driver only in the last moment managed to avoid a head-on collision.

One of my friends ended up in a hospital for eight weeks with broken neck, smashed left hand, hip damage, damaged feet, and a minor blood spill in the brain. There is a picture I have taken of her face about 10 months afterwards. Check it out.

I guess I don't need to add that the picnic was canceled...

OK, so what of it...
Well. The accident, as I mentioned happened on a highway. Quite a way from any major hospital. My friend lives only because there is an organization called Medi-Heli. They fly an emergency helicopter. They transported my friend to the emergency department of the Toolo Hospital. After a few days of intensive care, her situation stabilized. She is now almost fully recovered, with only a few minor signs of ever being in such a terrible accident. Medi-Heli however, has some problems.
How come?
The Finnish Government, with all its advertising how good it is to the people, is so cheap that it doesn't want to support Medi-Heli. So... Medi-Heli is having some financial problems, and there is a threat that it will have to close down. Think of those who might die because of it.

But, hey! What does the government care? Politicians get paid, and that is about as much as they worry about. So it is up to us to help Medi-Heli in their work.

What can we do about it?
Before you go out and spend another evening partying with your friends in a fancy restaurant, consider that perhaps this one evening you will give it up, and donate a few marks to Medi-Heli to help save the lives of others. Anything will help. You don't have to donate thousands.

If you live in Finland, you can go to the nearest bank, and ask them to transfer something from your bank account to account number: 9272. If there is no bank close to you, go to the post office, and donate to account number: 78087.

Thanks in advance
