The history of Domus is a long one. The eldest living (and moderately intelligent) creatures have memories from the range of 6 milliard years. For them the coming humans only some two million years ago is recent history, and the developments of cultures on Domus after the latest ice age about 20000 years ago something that may or may not prove interesting.
But there are other perspectives as well. The jadelfs, for example, have a much shorter frame of reference. Their lives stretch over millenias and though their coming to Domus a million years ago, is ancient history, it still is history even if nobody has written it down.
Finally the frame of reference of humans only cover a few thousand
years at time at most. For them the cycles of essaence break the
flow of time to ages, and hardly anyone remembers or knows what happened
in the previous age.
