Planet Domus is an approximately earth-sized planet. Together
with its moon it forms a twin-planet system. The climate of Domus
resembles that of Earth, though it is a bit warmer. All continents
on Domus are covered by lush plantlife. Forests of different kinds
are typical for Domus, although there are wide plains and deserts,
also.

The dry land on Domus is formed of 9 continents. From west to east they are Neswa and Kal in the north, North- and South-Raviri, Dilma and Dyek approximately on the equator and Acul, Suzna and Ram in the south.
There are five major bodies of water: the Northern sea between Neswa and Kal in the north, the Raviri sea which divides Raviri from Neswa, Dilma and Acul, the Great ocean east of Dilma and the Gentle sea between Kal and Dyek around the equator. South of Dyek and Ram is the Cold ocean and south of Acul is the dangerous Cruel sea.

Altogether the dry land covers about half of the total surface of the planet. The highest peaks on the southern mountains of the Suzna continent reach up to 10000 meters from sea surface, and the lowest deeps are over 9000 meters under the surface. Most of Domus continents are high country: about half of the dry land is more than 2000 meters high.
The mountains in the north are old and left battered by the last ice age about 20000 years ago. Still, there are peaks in the norhtern parts of the Neswa continent that reach over 5000 meters. On the other hand the mountain ranges on Acul, and on eastern coast of Dilma and on western coast of Suzna are young and very high.
Geologically the Domus is pretty stable. The greatest amount of volcanic activity occures between North- and South-Raviri and in the south where the tectonic plates of Suzna and Dilma crash together.

Climate and terrain

The climate on Domus is overall rather warm. The average temperatures around the equator can be as much as +35 centigrades on the coast. Closer to the poles the average temperatures drop below zero, and both poles are covered by permanent icecaps. Higher in the mountains the temperatures are of course lower (lowering approximately by -1 for every 200 meters, or -5 for every km). Warm seacurrents from the equator bring lots of rain to eastern coasts of continents, while the western coasts are typically much drier and colder. There are a lot of both rain- and temperate forests on Domus. Between them the terrain changes typically from plains to desert and back.
