What do download
Some of this is explained in Beginner's Guide. In short: you need a player and the data files (to be played). While multiple versions of the player might be available, you generally only need the newest. Each Incident part exists in three different size versions. Of these, you only need one. The Technical Manual has some info on the differences between the size versions.
For example, currently parts one and two have been released. If you decide to settle for the medium size versions, download the latest player and i01m.dat and i02m.dat.
Or, you can forget about the player and go for the divx4 avi files. In this case you need the divx4 codec from www.divx.com.
