hobbies
I'm a big fan of japanese animation, or anime, and manga, japanese
comics. I used to be the president of OTAKUT, a student organisation
for manga and anime fans. Thank heavens I got rid of that position -
there was way too much responsibility for very little gain ;-).
I'm also an active member of
Manga ja anime yhdistys, a
Finnishanime fan club, and work as the chief editor of Kanhoku, an anime
fanzine.
Sometimes I make the mistake of playing role playing games. My favourite
gaming systems are GURPS by Steve Jackson
Games, and Silhuette by Dream Pod
9. My current (as of Spring 2001) big RPG project is Wing Commander
RPG, using DP9's Silhuette -system.
Update 4.4.03 WCRPG -project is frozen indefinitely. I'm currently running
a Kafer war -campaing in the old 2300AD scifi world. I'm using GURPS
rules, though. However, I still have my notes for WCRPG and IOU around
somewhere...
Update 10.8.01. WCRPG -project is frozen until my co-conspirator, Jussi
Widerholm, returns from armed service.
Other game for which I have devoted a lot of time is GURPS:IOU, a
definitely silly GURPS campaing setting in a incredibly weird university.
I'll try and put my notes on both of these here, someday.
I also read a lot and am a big science fiction fan. And I read a lot of
non-japanese comics too.
